Founder
Thomas Ming Hui Stanka
Thomas founded CYCLOPS in 2024 and has shaped its curatorial vision from the beginning. Based in Berlin, he works at the intersection of exhibition-making, analogue photography, and contemporary image culture, developing concepts and productions with a strong sensitivity to materiality, process, and artistic exchange.
Since 2020, he has been an active part of Berlin’s analogue photography scene and a core member of the photo festival AnalogueNOW!, where he has contributed to the revival of analogue photography for the contemporary stage in the city. Alongside his curatorial work, he is a specialist of classical modernism and German post-war art at Grisebach, one of Germany’s leading auction houses.
At the heart of Thomas’ work is a lasting passion with photography in all its forms – historical, technical, and lived. He is, above all, someone who cares deeply about images, how they are made, and the conversations they can open.

Co-Managing Director
Joanne Wong
With a background in economics and technology law, Joanne joined CYCLOPS in 2026 to bring structure, clarity, and long-term thinking to its development.
Originally from Hong Kong, she has spent more than a decade working across digital media production, from journalism and film, to most recently, educational content. Over the years, she has led large-scale media production projects, creator networks, and the business partnerships that support them. Her goal is to make the arts feel less distant, less exclusive, and more meaningfully connected to people’s lives.
Her multicultural and interdisciplinary background shapes her commitment to forms of international exchange that respect difference and preserve cultural context. She also advocates for more balanced working conditions and less exploitation in the creative industries, a commitment she hopes to carry into her work at CYCLOPS.
